The Lazy Mama’s Skincare Routine

When I was in my 20s, I used to invest more on make-up. But when I reached 30, I realized I needed to start taking care of my skin. I learned the importance of moisturizing and sunscreen.

Fast forward to now, I make sure I put on sunscreen even if I’m just staying home. I now tend to spend more on skin care products than on make up. I still buy lipsticks every now and then because lipstick is the only makeup I can’t live without.

Since I spend more time at home, I don’t always get to go out to the mall to window shop. So what do I do to keep my sanity? I shop online! I usually shop at Beauty MNL. I have ordered three or four times already and all my transactions were seamless.

So here are the products that I’m currently using. These are the ones that work for me. I switch and try out a different brand once I run out of a certain product or I buy a new one as an alternate if my budget permits.

Counter-clockwise:

  1. Avalon Organics Balancing Toner
  2. Avalon Organics Eye Cream
  3. Biore UV Perfect Bright Milk SPG 50
  4. Aloe Derma Facial Mask
  5. Nuxe Smoothing Cream
  6. Olay Anti-Ageing Cream
  7. Olay Anti-Ageing Night Cream
  8. Nuxe Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Cream

I try my best to religiously follow the three-step rule: cleanse, tone, moisturize. I cleanse all the time. I skip the toner sometimes when I’m in a rush. When I’m feeling lazy in the morning or in a rush, I skip the moisturizer. At night, I can do without the toner but never without moisturizer. When I have the luxury of time, I like using facial masks. And just lately, I started using eye cream.

So there. That’s how a lazy mama cares for her skin. I’m not saying that I have great skin. But these products prevent me from getting pimples and they have lessened my oiliness. My ultimate skin goal is to have glowing skin. Mala-Sandara Park. Hehe! Next week, I’ll try to do a review of Biore sunscreen. Super love it!
